A Distant Country - And...the younger son gathered everything together and went on a journey into a distant country, and there he squandered his estate with loose living.

The Right Path - Show me the right path, O Lord; point out the road for me to follow.

Rainbow Colors - You lifted him high and bright as a cumulus cloud, then dressed him in rainbow colors. You pile blessings on him; you make him glad when you smile.

You Formed Me - Your hands made me and fashioned me; give me understanding, that I may learn Your commandments.

He Drove Them Out - And He made a scourge of cords, and drove them all out of the temple...and He poured out the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables.

God's Reward - Behold, children are a gift of the Lord, the fruit of the womb is a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, so are the children of one's youth.

Give Them Water - If your enemy is hungry, give him bread to eat; and if he is thirsty, give him water to drink...

The Earth is God's - The earth is the Lord's, and all it contains, the world, and those who dwell in it.

Just Like Sheep - All of us like sheep have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; but the Lord has caused the iniquity of us all too fall on Him.

Under a Basket - Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house.

The Appointed Time - There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every event under heaven...

His Hiding Place - He made darkness His hiding place, His canopy around Him, darkness of waters, thick clouds of the skies.

The Lord is Close - The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed.

Don't Worry - Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they?

We See Dimly - For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I will know fully just as I also have been fully known.

In His Strength - Yet those who wait for the Lord will gain new strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary.

When I Call - Answer me when I call, O God of my righteousness! You have relieved me in my distress; be gracious to me and hear my prayer.

Gathering of Waters - God called the dry land earth, and the gathering of the waters He called seas; and God saw that it was good.

Nothing is Better - Nothing is better for a man than that he should eat and drink, and that his soul should enjoy good in his labor. This also, I saw, was from the hand of God.

Shout His Praise - Those who live at the ends of the earth stand in awe of your wonders. From where the sun rises to where it sets, you inspire shouts of joy.

You See Me - You see me when I travel and when I rest at home. You know everything I do.

He Is Coming - Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him.

Born for Adversity - A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.

Let Love Reign - Life is short, and you love your wife, so enjoy being with her. This is what you are supposed to do as you struggle through life on this earth.

Fleeting Days - Lord, remind me how brief my time on earth will be. Remind me that my days are numbered, how fleeting my life is.

My Salvation - The Lord is my light and my salvation—so why should I be afraid? The Lord is my fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble?

Walking Together - Can two walk together, unless they are agreed?

The Desert Will Sing - Wilderness and desert will sing joyously, the badlands will celebrate and flower, like the crocus in spring, bursting into blossom, a symphony of song and color.

Time is Up - He made a promise in the name of God who lives forever and who created heaven, earth, the sea, and every living creature...

Man of Peace - Mark the blameless man, and behold the upright; for the man of peace will have a posterity.

Give Praise - Let every created thing give praise to the Lord, for he issued his command, and they came into being.

True Wisdom - The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

You Shall Flourish - The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree, He shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.

I Was In Trouble - I was in terrible trouble when I called out to you, but from your temple you heard me and answered my prayer.

Prepare the Way - The voice of one crying in the wilderness: "Prepare the way of the Lord; make straight in the desert a highway for our God."

The Least of These - And the King will say, "I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!"

Road to Freedom - Guide me down the road of your commandments; I love traveling this freeway! Give me a bent for your words of wisdom, and not for piling up loot.

Crown of Thorns - And after twisting together a crown of thorns, they put it on His head, and a reed in His right hand; and they knelt down before Him and mocked Him.

His Sheep - Know that the LORD, He is God; it is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people and the sheep of His pasture.

Following His Path - My foot has held fast to His path; I have kept His way and not turned aside.

I Will Sing Praises - To You, O my Strength, I will sing praises; for God is my defense, my God of mercy.

The Lord Gives Peace - The Lord gives his people strength. The Lord blesses them with peace.

A Song of Praise - He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God; many will see and fear and will trust in the Lord.

Righteous Fruit - The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and he who wins souls is wise.

Restore Us - "Restore us, O God; cause Your face to shine, and we shall be saved!"

A New Life - This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!

God Is My Strength - The Lord God is my strength, and He has made my feet like hinds' feet, and makes me walk on my high places.

Weep and Mourn - And the merchants of the earth weep and mourn over her, because no one buys their cargoes any more.

Be Ready - Be ready in the morning to climb up Mount Sinai and present yourself to me on the top of the mountain.

I Was a Stranger - For I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in.

Pleasures Forevermore - You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

My Hiding Place - You are my hiding place; You preserve me from trouble; You surround me with songs of deliverance.

A Spectacle - For we have become a spectacle to the world [a show in the world's amphitheater] with both men and angels [as spectators].

Sweeter Than Honey - How sweet are Your words to my taste! Yes, sweeter than honey to my mouth!

You Appoint Darkness - He made the moon for the seasons; the sun knows the place of its setting. You appoint darkness and it becomes night.

We're Tired of It - Living conditions around here seem like a stopover in an unfurnished shack, and we're tired of it! We've been given a glimpse of the real thing, our true home, our resurrection bodies!

Far Above Jewels - An excellent wife, who can find? For her worth is far above jewels.

What Is it Like? - Then He said, "To what shall we liken the kingdom of God? Or with what parable shall we picture it?"

Prepare the Way - The voice of one crying in the wilderness: "Prepare the way of the Lord; Make straight in the desert a highway for our God.

Greater Barns - So he said, "I will do this: I will pull down my barns and build greater, and there I will store all my crops and my goods."

Created by God - The hearing ear and the seeing eye, the Lord has made both of them.

Through a Glass - "For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known."

Our Lives - "The days of our lives are seventy years; and if by reason of strength they are eighty years, yet their boast is only labor and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away."

Without a Shepherd - When Jesus went ashore, He saw a large crowd, and He felt compassion for them because they were like sheep without a shepherd.

His Name Alone - Let them praise the name of the Lord, For His name alone is exalted; His glory is above earth and heaven.

The Scoffer's Seat - How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the path of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers!

What Will We Wear? - Do not worry then, saying, "What will we eat?" or "What will we drink?" or "What will we wear for clothing?"

Sing For Joy - For You, O Lord, have made me glad by what You have done, I will sing for joy at the works of Your hands.

Like a Foolish Man - Everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not act on them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand.

After Their Kind - Of the birds after their kind, of animals after their kind, and of every creeping thing of the earth after its kind, two of every kind will come to you to keep them alive.

Under the Shadow - He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

Follow Him? - How long will you falter between two opinions? If the Lord is God, follow Him; but if Baal, follow him.

I Will Guide You - I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go; I will counsel you with My eye upon you.

Remember God - Remember your Creator in the days of your youth, before the days of trouble come and the years approach when you will say, "I find no pleasure in them."

Freedom for All - Is this not the fast that I have chosen: To loose the bonds of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, to let the oppressed go free, and that you break every yoke?

All Your Needs - And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Day and Night - Both day and night belong to you; you made the starlight and the sun.

The Wind Blows - The wind blows where it wishes and you hear the sound of it, but do not know where it comes from and where it is going.

Fishing for People - The Kingdom of Heaven is like a fishing net that was thrown into the water and caught fish of every kind.

Wonderful Works - He has made His wonderful works to be remembered; the Lord is gracious and full of compassion.

Since Creation - For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse.

To Those Who Ask - If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him?

God's Search - The Lord looks down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there are any who understand, who seek God.

Yet I Will Trust - Though the fig tree should not blossom and there be no fruit on the vines...Yet I will exult in the Lord, I will rejoice in the God of my salvation.

Reflect the Heart - As water reflects the face, so one’s life reflects the heart.

Worship the Lord - Worship the Lord your God, and his blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you.

Like a Tree - That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither— whatever they do prospers.

Your Journey - The Lord your God has blessed you in all the work of your hands. He has watched over your journey through this vast wilderness

All Ocean Depths - Praise the LORD from the earth, you great sea creatures and all ocean depths.

Watching Daily - Joyful are those who listen to me, watching for me daily at my gates, waiting for me outside my home!

His Work - He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit.

New Things - Behold, the former things have come to pass, now I declare new things; before they spring forth I proclaim them to you.

Rest In the Lord - Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him; do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who carries out wicked schemes.

He Provides - The eyes of all look to you in hope; you give them their food as they need it.

Such as These - "Let the children alone, and do not hinder them from coming to Me; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."

Taught by God - All your children shall be taught by the Lord, and great shall be the peace of your children.

The Promised Land - Then they came to the valley of Eshcol and from there cut down a branch with a single cluster of grapes; and they carried it on a pole between two men.

Be Generous - When you reap the harvest of your land, do not reap to the very edges of your field or gather the gleanings of your harvest.

As a Leaf Withers - And all the host of heaven will wear away, and the sky will be rolled up like a scroll; all their hosts will also wither away as a leaf withers from the vine.

On a Rock - Whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock.

Be Prepared - For if they do these things when the tree is green, what will happen when it is dry?

Where Can I Flee? - Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence?

By Bread Alone? - People do not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.
