Adventist congregations that are growing are effective at creating a culture of volunteerism. That means they are tapping into the Biblical teaching that at one’s baptism each person is given spiritual gifts to build up the Body of Christ. These gifts sometime correlate to a person’s professional abilities, but in many cases they are different. It’s so exciting to hear volunteers say, "Some of the best hours of my week are when I am volunteering at my church." That signals a good fit. Is this the culture of volunteerism you find at your church? If not, let us introduce you to the array of tools we have that involve the right people, in the right places, for the right reasons.
