Encouragement Ministry Builds Congregations
In a recent e-mail from Peter Roennfeldt, I learned that in Australia Rick Paynter and the Gateway Family Church sponsor CONNECTING Conferences to support church planting movements based in local churches. A culture of encouragement is a key goal of these leadership conferences! This ministry helps members learn to regularly affirm others through activities such as a thank you notes, e-mails, text messages, phone calls or visits.

In the North American Division, 77% of local church leaders say friendship/lifestyle evangelism is the very best way to share Christ and bring work colleagues, family members and friends into the Adventist church. Once trust is established, the natural progression of friendship conversation often turns to faith. In six short sessions, the Friend2Friend resource provides insights into effectively sharing friendship and faith. Each section engages the learner in four ways: touch, teach, try, and treasure.
