I was with a group of friends this past weekend. In our conversation they told me about starting to attend church again at a progressive Adventist congregation. They asked me why that pastoral team talked so much about finances. We talked about a basic principle in fundraising; you get the money you ask for. We also discussed how so many Adventists are under-informed about how the finances work in the local church and at ever management level. I reflected with these friends that possibly this new church to them is trying to counteract the trend in other congregations and inform its members about church finances.
Pastors, we just released a new resource that helps you with your financial education process and at the same time expresses the gratitude of the congregation for the financial giving of its members. For more information about Gracious Givers: Thank You Letters, click here.
