I Am Blessed - You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You have anointed my head with oil; My cup overflows.

What to Wear? - If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?

A Spectacle - For we have become a spectacle to the world [a show in the world's amphitheater] with both men and angels [as spectators].

Without a Shepherd - When Jesus went ashore, He saw a large crowd, and He felt compassion for them because they were like sheep without a shepherd.

Remember God - Remember your Creator in the days of your youth, before the days of trouble come and the years approach when you will say, "I find no pleasure in them."

We're Tired of It - Living conditions around here seem like a stopover in an unfurnished shack, and we're tired of it! We've been given a glimpse of the real thing, our true home, our resurrection bodies!

Fishing for People - The Kingdom of Heaven is like a fishing net that was thrown into the water and caught fish of every kind.

This is the Day - This is the day which the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Going Places - When you walk, your steps will not be hindered, and when you run, you will not stumble.

Coming and Going - The Lord will guard your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forever.

Hear My Prayer - Answer me when I call, O God of my righteousness! You have relieved me in my distress; Be gracious to me and hear my prayer.

A New Life - This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!

In the Morning - In the morning, O Lord, You will hear my voice; in the morning I will order my prayer to You and eagerly watch.

Set Aflame - So also the tongue is a small part of the body, and yet it boasts of great things. See how great a forest is set aflame by such a small fire!

Follow Him? - How long will you falter between two opinions? If the Lord is God, follow Him; but if Baal, follow him.

Assembling Together - Let us hold fast the confession of our hope...not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another...

Be Alert - If the head of the house had known at what time of the night the thief was coming, he would have been on the alert and would not have allowed his house to be broken into.

Up a Tree - When Jesus reached the spot, he looked up and said to him, "Zacchaeus, come down immediately. I must stay at your house today."

The Forbidden Tree - But from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat from it you will surely die.

The Wind Blows - The wind blows where it wishes and you hear the sound of it, but do not know where it comes from and where it is going.

New Beginnings - Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

The Kingdom Is Like - Then the Kingdom of Heaven will be like ten bridesmaids who took their lamps and went to meet the bridegroom.

His Work - He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit.

Rest In the Lord - Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him; do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who carries out wicked schemes.

Taught by God - All your children shall be taught by the Lord, and great shall be the peace of your children.

Love Is Patient - Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant.

Since Creation - For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse.

Good Counsel - I will bless the Lord who has given me counsel; My heart also instructs me in the night seasons.

Give Thanks - I will give thanks to the Lord according to His righteousness and will sing praise to the name of the Lord Most High.

Greater Barns - So he said, "I will do this: I will pull down my barns and build greater, and there I will store all my crops and my goods."

Be Ready - Be ready in the morning to climb up Mount Sinai and present yourself to me on the top of the mountain.

From the Earth - Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb that yields seed, and the fruit tree that yields fruit according to its kind, whose seed is in itself, on the earth.

Greater Light - God made two great lights—the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars.

Just Like Sheep - All of us like sheep have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; but the Lord has caused the iniquity of us all too fall on Him.

Born for Adversity - A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.

City Strength - The Lord came down to see the city and the tower which the sons of men had built.

My Light - The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the defense of my life; whom shall I dread?

New Things - Behold, the former things have come to pass, now I declare new things; before they spring forth I proclaim them to you.

Good News - Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people.

Send Your Light - Send out your light and your truth; let them guide me. Let them lead me to your holy mountain, to the place where you live.

Wherever You Go - For He will give His angels charge concerning you, to guard you in all your ways.

True Wisdom - The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

Faith Pioneers - Do you see what this means--all these pioneers who blazed the way, all these veterans cheering us on? It means we'd better get on with it. Strip down, start running--and never quit!

Playing With Fire - Can a man take fire in his bosom and his clothes not be burned?

Test Me Now - Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house, and test Me now in this.

Where Can I Flee? - Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence?

By Bread Alone? - People do not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.

After Their Kind - Then God said, "Let the earth bring forth living creatures after their kind: cattle and creeping things and beasts of the earth after their kind"; and it was so.

The Last Appeal - I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot; I wish that you were cold or hot.

The Lord Gives Peace - The Lord gives his people strength. The Lord blesses them with peace.

Don't Worry - Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they?

From the Earth - He causes the grass to grow for the cattle, and vegetation for the labor of man, so that he may bring forth food from the earth.

As a Child - Truly I say to you, unless you are converted and become like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven.

He Satisfies - For He has satisfied the thirsty soul, and the hungry soul He has filled with what is good.

The Race - The race is not to the swift and the battle is not to the warriors, and neither is bread to the wise nor wealth to the discerning.

He Gives to All - For he gives his sunlight to both the evil and the good, and he sends rain on the just and the unjust alike.

Where Can I Flee? - Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence?

You Are the Light - You are the light of the world--like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand.

The Best Seats - Beware of the scribes, who desire to go around in long robes, love greetings in the marketplaces, the best seats in the synagogues, and the best places at feasts,

Simply Wise - The instructions of the Lord are perfect, reviving the soul. The decrees of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple.

Above the Earth - For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is His lovingkindness toward those who fear Him.

Summer and Winter - You have established all the boundaries of the earth; You have made summer and winter.

Fishers of Men - And Jesus said to them, "Follow Me, and I will make you become fishers of men."

In Due Time - The eyes of all look to You, and You give them their food in due time.

We See Dimly - For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I will know fully just as I also have been fully known.

Be Generous - When you reap the harvest of your land, do not reap to the very edges of your field or gather the gleanings of your harvest.

Ripe For Harvest - Do you not say, "Four months more and then the harvest?" I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest.

Seeking David - Then Saul took three thousand chosen men from all Israel and went to seek David and his men in front of the Rocks of the Wild Goats.

This Gospel - This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come.

Loving Darkness - This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil.

He Fell Asleep - As Paul spoke on and on, a young man named Eutychus, sitting on the windowsill, became very drowsy. Finally, he fell sound asleep and dropped three stories to his death below.

The Dew of Heaven - Now may God give you of the dew of heaven, and of the fatness of the earth, and an abundance of grain and new wine.

In the Vineyard - Now when he had agreed with the laborers for a denarius a day, he sent them into his vineyard.

Time to Move - Take wagons from the land of Egypt for your little ones and for your wives, and bring your father and come.

Come and Listen - Come, you children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the Lord.

A Far Country - For the kingdom of heaven is like a man traveling to a far country, who called his own servants and delivered his goods to them.

A Joyful Song - Sing your praise to the Lord with the harp, with the harp and melodious song.

God's Doorkeeper - I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness.

In the Wilderness - And He was in the wilderness forty days being tempted by Satan; and He was with the wild beasts, and the angels were ministering to Him.

I Was In Trouble - I was in terrible trouble when I called out to you, but from your temple you heard me and answered my prayer.

The Earth is God's - The earth is the Lord's, and all it contains, the world, and those who dwell in it.

The Heavens Declare - The heavens are telling of the glory of God; and their expanse is declaring the work of His hands.

Every Wind - We are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by craftiness in deceitful scheming.

Crown of Thorns - And after twisting together a crown of thorns, they put it on His head, and a reed in His right hand; and they knelt down before Him and mocked Him.

Pour Down Righteousness - Drip down, O heavens, from above, and let the clouds pour down righteousness; let the earth open up and salvation bear fruit, and righteousness spring up with it.

Thrones and Dominions - For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers.

Man of Peace - Mark the blameless man, and behold the upright; for the man of peace will have a posterity.

Prepare the Way - The voice of one crying in the wilderness: "Prepare the way of the Lord; make straight in the desert a highway for our God."

Dwell In Safety - I will lie down and sleep in peace, for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety.

Your Cistern - Drink water from your own cistern and fresh water from your own well.

Following His Path - My foot has held fast to His path; I have kept His way and not turned aside.

There It Was - God spoke: "Earth, green up! Grow all varieties of seed-bearing plants, every sort of fruit-bearing tree." And there it was.

The Greatest - Whoever then humbles himself as this child, he is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

Not Much Fun - Wine makes you mean, beer makes you quarrelsome— a staggering drunk is not much fun.

Merely Entertainment - To them you're merely entertainment—a country singer of sad love songs, playing a guitar. They love to hear you talk, but nothing comes of it.

Above All - Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.

Rainbow Colors - You lifted him high and bright as a cumulus cloud, then dressed him in rainbow colors. You pile blessings on him; you make him glad when you smile.

Your Delights - They drink their fill of the abundance of Your house; and You give them to drink of the river of Your delights.

Fix Your Thoughts - One final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.

He Built An Altar - Then Abram moved his tent and came and dwelt by the oaks of Mamre, which are in Hebron, and there he built an altar to the Lord.

Like Children - Truly I say to you, unless you are converted and become like children, you will not enter the kingdom of heaven.

A Song of Praise - He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God; many will see and fear and will trust in the Lord.

Talking Trees - If in truth you are anointing me as king over you, come and take refuge in my shade; but if not, may fire come out from the bramble and consume the cedars of Lebanon.

We Are Forgiven - As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.

Running Away - But Jonah rose up to flee to Tarshish from the presence of the Lord. So he went down to Joppa, found a ship which was going to Tarshish, paid the fare.

Like Hot Embers - Like charcoal to hot embers and wood to fire, so is a contentious man to kindle strife.

Your Word Gives Light - The unfolding of Your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple.

My Steps - You enlarge my steps under me, and my feet have not slipped.

God Is My Strength - The Lord God is my strength, and He has made my feet like hinds' feet, and makes me walk on my high places.

Your Wonders - I will remember the works of the Lord; surely I will remember Your wonders of old. I will also meditate on all Your work, and talk of Your deeds.

Days of Old - I remember the days of old; I meditate on all Your doings; I muse on the work of Your hands.

A Distant Country - And...the younger son gathered everything together and went on a journey into a distant country, and there he squandered his estate with loose living.

Wisdom Speaks - Wine is a mocker, strong drink a brawler, and whoever is intoxicated by it is not wise.

He Drove Them Out - And He made a scourge of cords, and drove them all out of the temple...and He poured out the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables.

The Word of the Cross - For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

After Their Kind - Then God said, "Let the earth bring forth living creatures after their kind: cattle and creeping things and beasts of the earth after their kind"; and it was so.

Spiritual Forces - For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but...against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.

The Greater Light - God made the two great lights, the greater light to govern the day, and the lesser light to govern the night...

Keep Them Alive - Of the birds after their kind, and of the animals after their kind, of every creeping thing of the ground after its kind, two of every kind will come to you to keep them alive.
